Daniel began his professional career in Alexandria in 1986 and continues to thrive as a creative force in the world of modern design. Formally trained as a ceramic artist, his innate sensibility for form, function, and aesthetics has established him as one of the most prolific and trusted voices in contemporary design today.

When he’s not in the shop, Daniel can often be found boating on the Potomac—always in search of inspiration for his next sculptural project—or in his ceramics studio, crafting thoughtful, expressive pottery by hand.

Dan Kroger, aka Dr. Kroger, has managed operations of DDMDS for nearly 35 years. If you have a question, Dan has the answer. His experience, knowledge of the Mid Century Furniture, Culture, and History is unmatched. When not consulting clients, Dan is usually cycling within a 100 mile radius of the studio.
